The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon first look scene, Daryl wanders alone

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will be the fifth spinoff in The Walking Dead universe and see Norman Reedus reprise his role as Daryl. Reedus has portrayed this character since 2010, when he first appeared in season 1 of the flagship series. Now Daryl will embark on a new journey far away from home.
AMC has released a first-look scene of the new series, showing Daryl in a desolate wasteland far from the Commonwealth. The timeline of the new series isn’t clear, but for Daryl to make the overseas trip, much time has passed since he was last seen leaving Carol (Melissa McBride) and the others in the final episode of The Walking Dead.
One thing is clear from the scene, Daryl finds trouble when looking for something and is trying to make his way back home.
"My name is Daryl Dixon. I come from a place called the Commonwealth. It’s in America. I went out looking for something. All I found was trouble. If I don’t make it back, I want them to know I tried. Hell, I’m still trying."
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon
The Daryl Dixon series will premiere in the fall of 2023 and stars Reedus along with Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi, and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi.
The series is executive produced by TWD Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple, Showrunner David Zabel, Reedus, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, and Daniel Percival. Zabel and Percival are newcomers to TWD universe, which should nicely balance the involvement of several veteran TWD names.

In The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, Daryl (Norman Reedus) washes ashore in France and struggles to piece together how he got there and why. The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.
