Walking Dead: Dead City who are the actors who play the Tribespeople?

AMC is bringing fans of The Walking Dead some great new spinoffs; the first for 2023 is The Walking Dead: Dead City. This series is receiving rave reviews so far, and each episode continues to impress. As with any new series, a slew of new characters are introduced alongside fan favorites Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). One group they recently encountered, the Tribespeople, is a group of native New Yorkers who also have beef with The Croat (Željko Ivanek).
This episode contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: Dead City episode 3, “People Are a Resource.”
In episode 2, “Who’s There,” Maggie and Negan follow “the pigeon lady,” Esther, who leads them to the Tribespeople group. There is, of course, no trust between them, and Maggie’s obvious lie doesn’t help matters. Maggie & Negan get a good look at their base location before they put them in a cell, which is a dank bathroom. The Croat’s Burazi find the site, and the Tribespeople scramble to escape—Negan volunteers to run a distraction so they can escape.
Negan’s sacrifice helps the bond with the group, and they allow Maggie and Negan into their group. In episode 3, the group finds out about Negan’s past with The Croat and begins questioning his loyalties.
It appears the Tribespeople will aid Maggie and Negan in their quest to take down The Croat and rescue Hershel.
The Walking Dead: Dead City Tribespeople actors
Esther – Eleanor Reissa
Sadly, Esther didn’t last long, as the Burazi killed her. Eleanor Reissa plays the character known for her roles in For Life, The Plot Against America, Minyan, and more.
Amaia – Karina Ortiz
Amaia is one of the leaders of the Tribespeople and seems to be a courageous woman. Karina Oritz is the actress who portrays Amaia and is known for Law & Order: SVU, Orange is the New Black, The Long Road Home, and Blue Bloods.
Tommaso – Jonathan Higginbotham
Another leader of the Tribespeople is Tommaso, who has been a captive of The Croat and knows inside information that proves invaluable to the mission. Actor Jonathan Higginbotham is known for his work in The Blacklist, The Shining Vale, and Bonding.
Luther – Michael Anthony
Luther was the muscle within the Tribespeople who was very untrusting of Negan. In episode 3, he and Negan came to blows, and he was killed. The character was played by Michael Anthony, also known for Strange Love, Raising Dion, Chicago Med, Secret Headquarters, and The Game.
Scavenger Woman – Aixa Kendrick
The Scavenger Woman appeared in episode 3; little is known about this character yet. Played by Aixa Kendrick, who is known for Happy!, The Company You Keep, Law & Order: SVU, Sisters, and more.
The Walking Dead: Dead City will air new episodes weekly on AMC on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET. AMC+ subscribers can watch new episodes three days early on Thursdays.
