The Walking Dead: Dead City’s first season has gone by quickly, and with two episodes remaining in the season, things will advance quickly. Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) has had his reunion with The Croat (Željko Ivanek), but Maggie (Lauren Cohan) is no closer to rescuing her son Hershel (Logan Kim).  Is there a new episode of Dead City on AMC tonight?

The first season of Dead City is compiled of six episodes, and the fifth episode is titled “Stories We Tell Ourselves.” This episode will see truths revealed and motives unearthed as Maggie and the Tribespeople descend into the sewers of NYC. Negan was last seen apprehended by Marshal Armstrong (Gaius Charles), who intended on returning to New Babylon to see Negan pay for his crimes.

What time is The Walking Dead: Dead City episode 5 on AMC?

The Walking Dead: Dead City will release its fifth episode on Sunday, July 16, at 9 p.m. ET. This and all previous episodes can be streamed on AMC Networks’ subscription service AMC+. This episode is written by Brenna Kouf and directed by Gandja Monteiro, who are both newcomers to TWDU. Monteiro also directed the season finale that will air on July 23.

The trailer below begins with “The Burazi. They knew.” The Croat and his Burazi were ready for Maggie and the others with a trap. Was this in place as a safeguard or did they somehow become aware of the attack?

It also appears that Maggie will come against some new type of walker variant that looks enormous.

Viewers also see the first glimpse of Lisa Emery (Ozark) as The Dama. Details about her character are a mystery but she appears to be league with The Croat and they both want Negan.

The Walking Dead: Dead City is quickly coming to the season’s end and there are many things that need to be wrapped up. It likely this season will end with a significant cliffhanger leading into the unofficially announced second season.
