Undead Walking Podcast: Special guest Jeffrey Kopp talks Dead City

The Walking Dead: Dead City will air the season finale on Sunday, July 23. This season has gone by quickly, and the creators have done an amazing job expanding The Walking Dead universe. Dead City moves away from the wooded setting of the main series and takes two familiar characters into the depths of post-apocalyptic Manhattan. Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) team up to come against a new villain, The Croat  (Željko Ivanek), and his Burazi. This group is responsible for the abduction of Maggie’s son Hershel (Logan Kim). Maggie enlists Negan’s help because The Croat is a former member of his Saviors.

Negan is also wanted for the murder of five men, one a magistrate, of the community known as New Babylon. Marshal Perlie Armstrong (Gaius Charles) leads the manhunt and wants to bring Negan to justice for his crimes.

Walking Dead spinoff release dates – Dead City season finale

AMC has announced that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon spinoff will premiere on Sept. 10, 2023. This series will follow Daryl to France, where he encounters many new people who make his mission of returning home difficult.

One week after the Daryl Dixon season finale, on October 22, part 2 of the eighth and final season of Fear the Walking Dead will premiere. The last six episodes will bring the first spinoff of The Walking Dead to a close.

In 2024, AMC and AMC+ will release the highly anticipated Rick and Michonne series. This series will feature the return of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira, reprising their roles as Rick and Michonne. This series will continue the epic love story of the apocalyptic power couple and feature the long-awaited reunion of the couple.

The Walking Dead: Dead City will air the season finale on AMC on Sunday, July 23, at 9 p.m. ET. AMC+ subscribers can begin watching this episode on July 20.
