AMC has announced the premiere date for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. On Sept. 10, the latest spinoff in The Walking Dead universe will premiere on AMC. In a press release, AMC announced that beginning July 22, AMC+ subscribers can watch the first ten minutes of the Daryl Dixon series. This is an exclusive for subscribers to AMC Networks streaming service. Attendees of the AMC Fan viewing party at SDCC were given a 20-minute preview of this first episode.
This first-look clip features Daryl’s arrival on the shores of France as he tries to piece together what to do next. The scenery is fantastic, like nothing seen in a Walking Dead series before. Even the score has an entirely different feel.
He encounters some walkers in this first look, which are also unlike anything seen in TWDU until now. Could this be a peek at the variant walkers known to exist in France?
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon trailer
The full-length trailer gives a lot more information about Daryl’s continued story. He is out of his element in France and comes upon a group of nuns at an Abbey who have a critical mission for him.
A nun named Isabelle (Clémence Poésy) believes Daryl is the messenger who will accompany a young boy, Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi), to his destiny to lead humanity’s revival. Daryl accepts the mission, but it won’t be that easy as Codron (Romain Levi) is tasked by his boss to kill the American.
