The Walking Dead Universe shows no signs of slowing down with the content it is creating. Only last weekend at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2023, there were big announcements about what we can expect coming up from TWDU, and there will likely be many more surprises concerning other spin-offs. Several Walking Dead actors will be attending Comic-Con Manchester in the UK.

The announcements from SDCC revealed that not only will we be getting another series of Dead City, but we will also be getting a minimum of two seasons of Daryl Dixon. The official name for the highly anticipated Rick and Michonne series has also been announced. It will be entitled The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live from a line quoted in the mothership show. We can expect to see the return of Troy Otto (Daniel Sharman) when Fear The Walking Dead returns for its final six episodes on 22 October – what a time to be a fan!

One of the best things about being a fan of The Walking Dead Universe is that the cast and crew tend to get involved in many fan appearances at events. Giving us fans the chance to thank them for their work and what they mean to us. And this is no exception this weekend as nine members from the cast are arriving in Manchester, United Kingdom, for Manchester Comic Con 2023.

This weekend fans in the United Kingdom have the chance to meet nine members from The Walking Dead at The Bowlers Exhibition Centre, Manchester. The convention will take place on Saturday, July 29 – Sunday, July 30, 2023 – open from 9 am, set to close at 6 pm across both days. Fans will have plenty of opportunities to meet some of their favorite actors.

The actors attending the event include Lauren Cohan, Christian Serratos, Khary Payton, Alanna Masterson, Austin Amelio, Pollyanna McIntosh, Paola Lazaro, Michael J Shaw, and Cassady McClincy. There will also be three panels across the weekend, with the actors participating with details on the convention’s website. Like any other con, there are also opportunities for fans to get pictures and autographs with them.

UPDATE July 27: Lauran Cohan and Christian Serratos have had to cancel their appearance at Manchester Comic Con 2023.

However, things will be slightly different this year due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. The convention, in support of the strike, will only provide headshots of the actors to get signed – if you choose to bring an item that features them as a character, they can sign it, but this is up to their discretion. They can also not discuss previous or upcoming projects involving studios at panels.

There are also several other amazing actors appearing at the event: Zachary Levi, Elizabeth Berkley, Seth Green, and Jessie T Usher will be in attendance, to name a few. There will also be many exhibitors, cosplay events, and much more across the duration of the event. Saturday is sold out, but there is still availability for Sunday.

If attending the event, you will be in for a brilliant weekend filled with comic con goodness! For anyone unable to go, keep an eye out on social media, as fans will maybe post updates from across the convention. And I hope we see more actors return in the future!
