New Walking Dead spinoff featuring Daryl Dixon, latest photos & trailer
By Renee Hansen
Fans of Daryl Dixon are anxious to see the next chapter in his story in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. This will be the next spinoff series released which is the second direct spinoff of The Walking Dead. This show will be a reboot for Daryl as actor Norman Reedus reprises his role to expandTWDU and Daryl’s story.
AMC has taken The Walking Dead universe to new heights with the creation of several spinoffs. By 2024, at least seven series will come from the universe. Daryl Dixon will be set overseas as the titular character washes ashore in France. He is uncertain of how and why he is there but vows to make his way back home.
He will encounter a group of nuns at an Abby and is introduced to Isabelle (Clémence Poésy), who, along with the other nuns, believe Daryl has been sent as a messenger. She explains that they have been waiting for this person to accompany a young boy, Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi), to accomplish his destiny “to lead the revival of humanity.”
Will the Daryl Dixon spinoff feature the first immune human?
Many have speculated that due to the nature of what the nuns believe is Laurent’s future, he will be introduced as the first human immune to the virus in TWDU. There have been hints that Madison (Kim Dickens) and Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey), the mother/daughter duo from Fear the Walking Dead, are immune, but this has never been officially disclosed. This would be a sad revelation for the Daryl Dixon series as it follows what has already been seen in The Last of Us storyline.
