The Walking Dead universe traditionally airs new episodes on Sunday evenings on AMC during the 9 p.m. ET timeslot. This schedule has been used by The Walking Dead since 2010 and by the spinoffs. August 2023 sadly has no new episodes airing on AMC. The next new series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, will begin airing in September 2023. Where can viewers watch The Walking Dead Dead City?

Dead City premiered in June 2023 and concluded its first season on AMC in July. The series was an outstanding addition to TWDU with its setting in Manhattan, a drastic change from the wooded setting of the main series.

Dead City stars Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who reprised their roles as Maggie and Negan. The series pits the long-time enemies together to rescue Maggie’s son Hershel (Logan Kim), who is abducted by a former Savior, The Croat ((Željko Ivanek).

Where can you watch Dead City?

The entire first season is available on AMC Network’s subscription service AMC+ or free with ads on The Roku Channel. Episodes can be purchased on Apple TV, Prime Video and Vudu.

Dead City has been renewed for a second season, but due to the ongoing strikes, it is difficult to speculate when the second season can be produced.

While you wait for the second season of Dead City, check out what else is coming in TWDU.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon premiere

On September 10 at 9 p.m. ET, AMC will premiere season 1 of Daryl Dixon, a series that sees Norman Reedus reprise his role as Daryl. He will find himself in France and in the company of some nuns known as, The Union of Hope

The Walking Dead: Fear the Walking Dead premiere

The final six episodes of Fear TWD will begin airing on AMC on October 22 at 9 p.m. ET. This will conclude the stories of the characters featured in this series since 2015. The first part of season 8 focused on Morgan Jones (Lennie James) who has gone in search of his friend Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). The back half will see Madison (Kim Dickens) reunited with her friends who thought she was dead. Troy Otto (Daniel Sharman) will return in the series’ final episodes.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live

The Ones Who Live will feature Rick Grimes and Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) return to TWDU. The couple have been separated for years, but neither has given up hope that they will be reunited one day. This series will release sometime in 2024, hopefully early in the year.
