Norman Reedus began his acting career on the stage in the play Maps for Drowners at the Tiffany Theater on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. He was working at a Harley Davidson shop at the time, and while drunk at a party, he began yelling at people from the second floor, which landed him the role. Now, years later, Reedus has quite the list of credits to his name.

He is best known for his role as Daryl Dixon from The Walking Dead. This character wasn’t featured in the source material, the comic story created by Robert Kirkman but created explicitly for Reedus for the series. He has played this role since season 1 of The Walking Dead, which premiered in 2010, and will be seen in an expansion of TWDU in his own spinoff, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. This series premieres on AMC on September 10, 2023.

Another well-known role is that of Murphy MacManus, twin brother of Conner (Sean Patrick Flannery) in The Boondock Saints movies. These two films follow the vigilante brothers in their quest to rid Boston of crime and evil. The Boondock Saints met with less than favorable critical reviews but has since gained an avid cult following.

Reedus hosts a travel series on AMC, Ride with Norman Reedus, which sees Reedus and a special celebrity guest as they travel on motorcycles to unique locations worldwide. The sixth season of this series will premiere on AMC on September 10, following the premiere of the Daryl Dixon series.
