AMC and GameMill Entertainment announce a new choice-driven action-adventure game that allows players to rewrite The Walking Dead stories from the most significant events from the series’ first four seasons. ING reports that The Walking Dead: Destinies is being developed for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, the Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.

The third-person narrative-driven game will allow the stories from seasons 1-4 of The Walking Dead to be altered as they begin their journey as Rick Grimes. Players visit well-known locations from the series, including Hershel’s Farm, Woodbury, and Atlanta. Bloody Disgusting states the game sounds like a mix of the series with Telltale’s The Walking Dead.

Players will be permitted to make choices from key moments featured in the series, including who lives and dies. This will significantly alter events from the series. GameMill promises players can  “weave your own path through series’ events.”

This concept should excite fans of The Walking Dead, who were never quite satisfied with how events played out. Gameplay allows players to force the story in their preferred direction. It will enable fans to see their “What If…” theories come to life.
