Frank Darabont is well known for his filmmaking talents. He served as the first showrunner of The Walking Dead and adapted several Stephen King novellas, The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Mist. Lionsgate has announced that The Mist will be released in 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray SteelBook this fall.

The Mist, while no cinematic masterpiece, draws viewers in with a mysterious and thrilling storyline while also reminding us that our worst enemy always turns out to be fellow humans. Not to mention that ending!

Set in Bridgton, Maine, The Mist tells of a severe storm that forms a thick mist over the small town. The residents head to the local grocery to stock up on supplies when a man enters to notify them of the dangers lurking in the mist. The movie contains enough gore to satisfy horror fans and enough suspense to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

On October 3, 2023, The Mist will be released on 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray Steelbook exclusively through Best Buy. Fans can preorder now.

With outstanding new artwork by Sara Deck, the release features some fantastic extras—a black-and-white version of The Mist and audio commentary by writer and director Darabont. The Blu-ray also features deleted scenes with commentary and a conversation between Darabont and King. The Blu-ray also includes two hours of bonus material.
