Walking Dead director and SFX guru, Greg Nicotero is a master at creating gruesome special effects. This was proven time and time again in The Walking Dead series and the Shudder anthology series Creepshow, as well as numerous other projects throughout his career. AMC has recently announced that season 4 of Creepshow will air this fall.

Creepshow, the series, is a continuation of George Romero’s 1982 horror comedy movie of the same title. Nicotero serves as showrunner and executive producer for the series, which features two darkly grim horror stories per episode.

There have been no casting announcements for this season. In the past, many Walking Dead actors have starred in the series, including  Josh McDermitt, C. Thomas Howell, Cailey Fleming, Michael Rooker, Josh Mickel, Ethan Embry, and King Bach.

If you are unaware, there is a companion coffee table book, Shudder’s Creepshow: From Script to Scream. This book highlights the origins, development, special effects, interviews, behind-the-scenes images, and more. Horror legend Stephen King provides the books forward, with Kirk Hammett, lead guitarist of Metallica and horror aficionado, providing the afterword.
