The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is a new spinoff of The Walking Dead series, which features Daryl, a character played by Norman Reedus since the beginning of the series in 2010. The new series is filmed and set in France, giving a brand new landscape, scope, and tone to TWDU. When does the series premiere?

Good news! The series premiere date is TODAY, September 10. AMC+ subscribers began watching at 3 a.m. ET and the linear debut on AMC at 9 p.m. ET.

The series has been renewed for a second season, which began filming in the summer of 2023 and halted production because of the SAG/AFTRA strikes. Recently, AMC Networks struck a deal allowing them to resume production on season 2 of Daryl Dixon, The Ones Who Live, and Interview with a Vampire.

This series marks the first real look at how other parts of the world are faring since the outbreak over 10 years ago. Viewers are excited about the prospect of variant walkers in France, which, according to EP director and SPX master Greg Nicotero, “have mutated to a point where if they touch or bite you or their blood gets on you, it burns you significantly. It changes all the rules.”

Don’t miss the exciting expansion of The Walking Dead universe in the spinoff The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
