The countdown to the end of Fear the Walking Dead has begun. The series will air the last six episodes starting in October, concluding the first spinoff of The Walking Dead. AMC has released the synopsis of season 8B with some new character images, and below are all the details we know so far.
The first half of the final season of Fear TWD saw a significant focus on PADRE, which was thought to be a haven but turned out to be something much different. This organization was taken down by Madison (Kim Dickens), Morgan (Lennie James), and others.
This part of the season also saw a significant focus on the crossover character Morgan, who, by the midseason finale, appeared in his final episode of TWDU.

Fear the Walking Dead season 8, part 2 release date
The midseason premiere of Fear TWD’s final season will air on AMC and AMC+ on October 22, 2023. The subscription service AMC+ will begin airing this episode at 3 a.m. ET and AMC will air at 9 p.m. ET.
AMC has altered the early access schedule so that all six episodes of the second half of season 8B will be released on AMC+ on the same day as the AMC release.

"Now that Shrike (Maya Eshet) and her influence are gone, Madison (Kim Dickens) sets sights on transforming PADRE into the safe haven the old Stadium was meant to be. But in doing so, the island becomes a target as well as a beacon as word of Madison and this land of resources spreads, attracting unwanted attention that puts PADRE back in peril and questions whether our heroes even deserve to save it."

Fans of the series were shocked to learn that the long-dead character Troy Otto (Daniel Sharman) would be returning in the final season. The teaser below reveals that Troy is likely out for revenge against Madison for leaving him for dead in season 3. He also has an interest in PADRE and an army of walkers.
