Walking Dead actress Tova Feldshuh has a role in this 1985 cult classic horror film
By Renee Hansen
Actress, singer, and playwright Tova Feldshuh has a long-running career in which she has starred in many iconic roles in TV, film, and the stage. Walking Dead fans remember her as the brave leader of Alexandria, Deanna Monroe. Another one of her roles many may not be aware of is in the 1985 cult classic horror Silver Bullet.
Based on a novella by Stephen King, Cycle of the Werewolf, the film is directed by Dan Attias, written by King, and produced by Martha De Laurentiis. Silver Bullet didn’t impress critics during its initial release, but since then, it has become a cult classic in the werewolf genre.
The story tells of Jane Coslaw and her paraplegic younger brother Marty, whose relationship is anything but friendly. Jane is often overshadowed by her brother, who needs extra care, resulting in feelings of jealousy and anger. When a series of murders begins in their small town of Tarker’s Mills, Jane and Marty begin to investigate. When Marty, who is wheelchair-bound, is almost run down by the suspected killer, the children enlist the help of their alcoholic uncle, Red. They discover a werewolf in their midst and work to uncover his identity.
