TWD Family, this is a plea to help one of our own. Actor Erik Jensen, who portrayed Dr. Steven Edwards of Grady Memorial in The Walking Dead, has been diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer after surviving a brain aneurysm a year and a half ago. You know what to do: share and reshare the information and donate if possible. This is the time to show what TWD Family is all about.

Jensen’s wife, Jessica Blank, has started a GoFundMe to assist the family with their needs during this trying time. Erik and Jessica make their living as freelance artists, which the writer and actor strikes have deeply impacted.

Donating $5 or $5,000, or anywhere in between, will be a significant way to assist this family. The funds they receive will help with cancer treatment costs, mortgage payments, additional expenses that come with intensive treatments, and stability for their daughter, Sadie.

Jensen has been working while receiving chemo, and even though the cancer has metastasized to his liver, the doctors believe two major surgeries will shrink the tumors.

Anyone in a position to hire the Jensens for a WGA position will aid them in keeping their SAG insurance. An hour-long episode (story and teleplay) would qualify them for their 2025 insurance. Both are hard-working, versatile writers with the talent and skill to do this type of job and hiring them would secure their eligibility for much-needed health care.

Youth and strength are on his side as he fights, yet again, another health obstacle. He is a devoted family man, and his diagnosis, while scary, isn’t a death sentence. Jensen remains positive as his doctors monitor his situation while working on a plan to rid him of the cancer.

PLEASE donate if you can, and SHARE the information far and wide with the TWD Family. This is our time to shine and show the world who TWD Family is and what they are about.
