Walking Dead actors Theodus Crane and Virginia Newcomb will star in a new crime thriller, Don’t Die. Benjamin Stark directed the film, which premiered at the 25th Annual Sidewalk Film Festival in  Birmingham, Alabama, in August 2023 at the BJCC Theatre, where it won the  Audience Award for Best Alabama Film.

Don’t Die is written by Jeremy Burgess and Stark and tells of Jenks (Crane), who, in a desperate attempt to obtain life-saving medicine, robs a pharmacy but, in the process, injures a mysterious woman who he discovers is involved in a black market pharmacy scheme. While trying to save her life, he jeopardizes his own and finds himself in a fascinating situation. Burgess and Stark have described the film as a “pulpy southern crime thriller.”

In addition to Crane as Jenks, the film stars Newcomb as Julia, with Joshua Burge, Frank Mosley, Leilani Smith, Carl Palmer, Cindy L. Jefferson, and Julie Haught.
