How many episodes are in season 8 of Fear the Walking Dead?

Fans of Fear the Walking Dead were surprised by the announcement that the eighth season would be the final chapter of this series. AMC announced the news early in January 2023, along with the premiere date for the first part of the season to be May 14, 2023. How many episodes will season 8 consist of?

Fear the Walking Dead is the first spinoff of The Walking Dead series that paved the way for many more to come. Although this series isn’t a direct spinoff, it is set in the same world. The first episode aired in 2015, with the story beginning in Los Angeles at the onset of the outbreak. Throughout the course of the series, the story would move to Mexico, Texas, and the eighth season will see another move in location. This move is, in part, to account for the move in filming locations to Savannah, Georgia, from Austin, Texas.

Fear TWD is also the first spinoff to feature crossover characters from the flagship series. Morgan Jones (Lennie James), Dwight (Austin Amelio), and his wife Sherry (Christine Evangelista) have all made the move.

Fear the Walking Dead season 8 episodes list

Season 8 of Fear the Walking Dead will be released in two parts, each with six episodes. This is a shorter episode count which is surprising for a final season. Fans were disappointed to learn that the final chapter of Fear the Walking Dead would be shortened especially after The Walking Dead got a mega 24 episode season for its final.
