Walking Dead’s David Morrissey producer on AMC new drama, Parish

AMC and AMC+ will release a new action-packed drama, Parish, in 2024. The six-episode series stars Emmy and SAG Award-nominee and Critics Choice Award-winner Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Mandalorian), who also stars. The Walking Dead actor known for portraying the Governor, David Morrisey, is also an executive producer for this series.
The series was filmed on location in New Orleans and is based on a UK series, The Driver, which Danny Brocklehurst and Jim Poyser created. Brocklehurst is the co-creator and an executive producer for the series with Poyser. Eduardo Canto and Ryan Maldonado serve as showrunners and executive producers with Esposito, & Morrissey and Jolyon Symonds for Scribbler Films, Josh Kesselman, Danny Sherman, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson, Theo Travers, and Red Production’s Nicola Shindler.
Esposito leads the series as Gracian “Gray” Parish, a family man who owns a private luxury car service in New Orleans. When his business goes south, and his son is brutally murdered, Gray reconnects with an old friend from his wheelman days. Old habits of the past resurface, which forces Gray into a high-stakes collision course with a violent criminal syndicate.

Zachary Momoah portrays The Horse, a New Orleans-based Zimbabwean gangster, with Paula Molcomson as Gray’s wife and mother of his children, Makayla (Arica Himmel) and Luke (Dax Rey). Skeet Ulrich is an old acquaintance of Gray’s named Colin, Bonnie Mbuili is Shamiso Tongai, The Horse’s older sister, with his brother Zenzo, played by Ivan Mbakop.
