Walking Dead actor Josh Hamilton is currently starring in a play at the Vineyard Theatre in New York City. Scene Partners began its run in October and will give its final performance on December 17.

The John J. Caswell, Jr play Scene Partners is directed by Rachel Chavkin and stars icon Dianne Wiest. Described as a wildly theatrical, hilarious, and genre-twisting gallop, the play, set in 1985, follows 75-year-old Meryl, who leaves the fridged cold of Milwaukee for the sun and fun of Los Angeles. She is determined to become a movie star by reinventing herself so the world will know who she is. With her big dreams, limited funds, and lots of nerve, will she become the star she dreams of, or will the world never know who she is?

The play has a run time of an hour and 45 minutes with no intermission, and tickets can be purchased via Vineyard Theatre’s website.

Below is the digital copy of the program, which features details of the cast and crew.

Joining Weist, who plays Meryl, are:

  • Eric Berryman as Dr. Noah Drake
  • Johanna Day as Charlize
  • Josh Hamilton as Hugo
  • Carmen M. Herlihy as Cassie
  • Kristen Sieh as Pauline.

Hamilton shared the news with his fans on Instagram.

Josh Hamilton’s recent movies and shows

Hamilton portrayed Lance Hornsby in the final season of The Walking Dead. He was a leader in the progressive community of the Commonwealth but met his demise at the hands of Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride). Hornsby was a character fans loved to hate.

Recently, he starred in the HBO movie Reality, nominated for a Gotham Award. The film follows Reality Winner, a former American intelligence specialist, and is based on the actual events of her life. Winner was suspected of mishandling classified information, would be found guilty, and given the harshest penalty for her actions. Hamilton plays one of the FBI who questions her.

Hamilton also starred in an episode of the Fox anthology series Accused and the Jennifer Garner led, The Last Thing He Told Me with fellow TWDU alum Aisha Tyler, which airs on AppleTV+.
