Walking Dead actor Tom Payne has announced his next role in a horror thriller from Blumhouse, Imaginary. The actor posted a creep-tastic teaser on social media, drumming up excitement about the movie.

The supernatural horror Imaginary is directed by Jeff Wadlow, known for Truth or Dare, Kick-Ass 2, and Fantasy Island, who co-wrote the story with Greg Erb, Jason Oremland, and Bryce McGuire. Jason Blum joins Wadlow as a producer via his Blumhouse Productions banner.

The film, set to release in theaters March 8, 2024, stars DeWanda Wise (Jurassic World) as Jessica, a woman who returns to her childhood home and is reunited with her old friend Chauncey, a stuffed bear. Her stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) becomes attached to the bear. When their playtime turns sinister, and her behavior becomes concerning, Jessica realizes her childhood toy is much more than the plaything she believed it to be.

The movie co-stars Payne, Taegen Burns, Veronica Falcon, and Betty Buckley.
