Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 1 limited-edition steelbook, pre-order now

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon spinoff completed its first season in October 2023 and has been renewed for a second, coming in 2024. The first season saw Norman Reedus reprise his role as Daryl Dixon in a brand new story set in France. If you have yet to watch this fresh new take on the apocalypse, you really should take the time to do so. If you prefer physical copies, the Blu-ray for season 1 of Daryl Dixon is now available to pre-order.

The limited edition steelbook of the first season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon appears to be currently available on Walmart or Barnes and Noble’s websites with a release date of February 14, 2024. No information has been released regarding extras included with the Blu-ray.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon series

The Daryl Dixon series broke viewership records for AMC+ previously set by another new spinoff, The Walking Dead: Dead City. Daryl Dixon featured the most viewed premiere in the history of AMC+.

Daryl Dixon and Norman Reedus have long been fan favorites within The Walking Dead universe, so it is not much of a surprise the series has done so well. The series utilized new writers and cast members, giving a fresh take on the apocalypse story that began in 2010 with the pilot episode of the main series. Critics have called it the best Walking Dead content released in years.

The story follows Daryl’s unplanned journey to France, where he immediately sets a plan in motion to return home. Along the way, he encounters a group needing help and sets aside his plans to assist them.

The first season included actors Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laïka Blanc-Francard, Romain Levi, and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi; all but Nagaitis will return in the second season. AMC also announced that Melissa McBride will join the second season with Manish Dayal, which has been sub-titled The Book of Carol.
