The Walking Dead: World Beyond limited series spinoff of The Walking Dead added a long list of amazing actors to TWDU. One such actor, Jelani Alladin, currently stars in a Showtime limited series, Fellow Travelers.

Described as a historical romance political thriller, Fellow Travelers was created by Oscar-nominated writer Ron Nyswaner (Philadelphia) based on a novel by Thomas Mallon. Nyswaner and Matt Bomer, who also stars, executive produce with Robbie Rogers, Dee Johnson, and Daniel Minahan, who also directs the first two episodes.

The story follows two men who embark on a romantic relationship in a story that spans four decades, which begins on the heels of McCarthy-era Washington and then onto the Vietnam protests of the 1960s. The story then travels to the disco era of the 1970s, the AIDS crisis of the 1980s

Hawkins Fuller (Bomer) works in politics in a career that is financially rewarding but avoids relationships. Until he meets Tim Laughlin (Jonathan Bailey), an idealistic man who puts his faith in religion.

Alladin portrays a character named Marcus, who is a gay African-American reporter chafing at the unofficial segregation of 1950s Washington, D.C. The series also stars Linus Roache, Noah J. Ricketts, and Allision Williams.

The series premiered on Paramount+ with Showtime on October 27, with its Showtime premiere on October 29. The eight-episode series airs its finale on December 17.
