Ross Marquand shares health update and encourages others to prioritize health
By Renee Hansen
If you are a fan of actor Ross Marquand and follow him on social media, you know he rarely posts. If he does, it is generally something related to his work rather than something personal. His latest post is very personal, one in which he offers advice to others.
Marquand recently went to the doctor to have a spot on his nose checked, something family, friends, and fans have encouraged him to do for four years. His excuse was his schedule which has been “absolutely bonkers,” but luckily, he went when he did. The spot was found to be cancerous, although one of the “better” cancers to get, but if he had let it go on longer, it could have become something much worse.
In the post, he encourages everyone to prioritize their health, whether it be physical, mental, or emotional. He is glad he didn’t put the appointment off any longer, and now he can work on becoming healthier.
Undead Walking sends its best wishes to Ross Marquand as he recovers from the procedure to remove the cancer.
It seems that Marquand believed this was critical information to share, as his last social media post occurred in November 2022 to promote the series finale of The Walking Dead.
What else does Ross Marquand star in?
Marquand is well known for his role as Aaron on The Walking Dead. He was first introduced in season 5 as a recruiter for the community of Alexandria. He would eventually become a vital leader within the communities and adopt a daughter, Gracie (Anabelle Holloway). By the end of the series Aaron was back at Alexandria working to rebuild.
He has also worked within the MCU as the voice of Red Skull (Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019) and of Ultron in the virtual reality experience Avengers: Damage Control (2019). In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), he voiced an alternate version of Ultron. He also voiced both characters in the MCU series “What If…”
Marquand portrayed Paul Newman in AMC’s Mad Men and starred in The Kids are Alright, a series led by fellow TWD alum Michael Cudlitz. He also did voice work in Robert Kirman’s Invincible as Rduy/The Immortal.
He has been cast in an upcoming movie, Tuesday’s Flu, with Tony Todd and Jackie Earle Haley. The movie is directed by TWD webisode actor Daniel Roebuck, who starred in The Walking Dead: Cold Storage, a four-part web series released in 2012.
