The Walking Dead: World Beyond actress Alexa Mansour will star in the upcoming A24 movie Civil War. The film is scheduled to release in 2024, and the recently released trailer can be viewed below.
Civil War is an action film directed by Alex Garland, known for writing two of Danny Boyle’s films, 28 Days Later and Sunshine, and has previously directed Ex Machina and Annihilation. The film will be released in theaters on April 26, 2024, and then on Max, as it is part of the multi-year deal the streamer has secured with A24.
The recently released teaser poster released by A24 gives off dystopian vibes as snipers are situated at the top of the Statue of Liberty.
Details about Civil War have been kept under wraps, but in an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Garland described it as a companion to his A24 film Men, which received mostly positive reviews. He went on to say that the story is set in “an indeterminate point in the future…and serves as a sci-fi allegory for our currently polarised predicament”.

A24 Civil War trailer
The trailer reveals what to expect from this movie.
America has fallen, and Civil War has been declared. The logline simply reads: “A race to the White House in a near-future America balanced on the razor’s edge.”
Things look bleak in the US as 19 states have seceded and the US Army is in full force, but who are they protecting? Nick Offerman plays the president, with Kirsten Dunst leading a team of journalists to the US Captial.
A24 will release Civil War in theaters and IMAX everywhere on April 26, 2024.
