First look at Jadis who will return in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live

In October 2023, AMC announced that Pollyanna McIntosh would reprise her role as Jadis in the new spinoff, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. Now Entertainment Weekly shares an exclusive first look (below) at McIntosh in the new series.
The Ones Who Live will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, 2024. This is exciting news for fans of Rick and Michonne, portrayed by Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira, respectively, as this series focuses on the pair who have been separated for years.
Jadis, formerly known as Anne, rescued Rick Grimes after it was thought he was killed in the bridge explosion in season 9 of The Walking Dead. She would next be seen in the limited spinoff, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, where she admits that she used Rick as her ticket to gain entry to the CRM (Civic Military Republic). She would then climb the ranks to become Warrant Officer Jadis Stokes, interestingly taking Father Gabriel’s (Seth Gilliam) last name.
By this time, she had become quite a villain, doing anything to advance both her and the CRM’s cause.

Jadis – The Ones Who Live
It will be exciting to discover Jadis’s role in the upcoming The Ones Who Live spinoff, as she has flip-flopped to and from a villain several times. One thing is certain, Jadis always looks out for herself.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Scott M. Gimple had this to say regarding Jadis’ journey.
"“Jadis has had one of the bigger journeys in the TWDU. And The Ones Who Live pushes her story into crazier, unexpected places.” – Scott M. Gimple"
McIntosh learned that Jadis’ story would continue before she left the main series. She has been looking forward to the reprisal ever since.
What can viewers expect from Jadis in the upcoming series:
"“There will be some of the Jadis that you will recognize from World Beyond. She is in the position of Warrant Officer Jadis Stokes. She is still working with the Civic Republic and the Civic Republic Military. So she’s a committed follower of the CRM, but people are not just their jobs, and the old Jadis that we got to know and who has tried her best but has lost many times is a big driving undercurrent of where she’s coming from.” – Pollyanna McIntosh"
