It's that time of the year once more. The 2026 Emmy nominations have been officially revealed, and there's a lot to unpack.

Shows like The Boys were snubbed, as fans of the iconic (if polarizing) Amazon Prime series expected Antony Starr to earn a nomination for his portrayal of Homelander. On the other hand, series like Marvel's Spider-Noir and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms pulled through with eleven and nine nominations, respectively. Better yet, an iconic The Walking Dead star has the chance to win another Emmy.

Steven Yeun captivated the world with his performance as Glenn in The Walking Dead. His character quickly became a fan favorite, and his arc and relationship with Maggie were the heart of the show. Unfortunately, it all came to an end thanks to a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire by the name of Lucille. But while Glenn's absence is still being felt in spin-off shows like Undead City, the actor behind the character has since gone on to appear in many other iconic projects. Better yet, Yeun has now received a nomination for his work on another acclaimed franchise.

Steven Yeun receives an Emmy nomination for voicing the role of Mark Grayson in Invincible

The Viltrumites like to conquer other planets... and the awards season as well. Steven Yeun has received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance thanks to his work voicing Mark Grayson in Invincible season 4. Other nominees for this category include Pamela Adlon (King of the Hill), Julie Andrews (Bridgerton), Hank Azaria (The Simpsons), Trey Parker (South Park), and Matt Vogel (The Muppet Show).

The beloved Amazon Prime animated series has been making waves ever since its first season was released back in 2021. Recently, audiences worldwide witnessed the show's fantastic Season 4, which has a perfect critics' score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and an 87% audience score.

While there are many things to praise about Invincible season 4, perhaps one of the most significant is Mark's guilt and trauma after the Invincible War. Yeun brought a lot of emotion to the role throughout all eight episodes of season 4, and it seems things will only be more complicated moving forward. After all, Mark had to make the difficult decision of letting the Viltrumites live on Earth, so it wouldn't be surprising to learn that the hero's conflict will be a key theme of season 5.

Steven Yeun has done a phenomenal job of portraying Mark throughout Invincible's run. Back in 2025, he also received an Emmy nomination for his work in season 3, where he voiced multiple evil variants of Mark. While Julie Andrews ended up taking the prize back then, Yeun now has another chance to secure a victory in this specific category.

Yeun won the category for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited or Anthology Series or Movie in 2024 thanks to his portrayal of Danny Cho in Beef. Now, he has the chance to add yet another prize to his collection, and it won't be long before we find out how it all pans out.

Invincible season 4 is now streaming on Prime Video.
