On Nov. 19, 2023, AMC aired the series finale of this long-running spinoff, officially bringing an end to an eight-season journey that thrilled fans, divided opinions, and expanded the Walking Dead universe in bold new ways.
When the show first premiered back in 2015, few could have predicted the path it would take. What began as a slow-burning companion series meant to explore the earliest days of the zombie apocalypse quickly evolved into something entirely its own. It managed to carve out a distinct identity within the Walking Dead universe, introducing a cast of unforgettable characters and even bringing back an OG from the original series that bridged the gap between the familiar and the new.
