Actor Jon Bernthal is well known for many roles throughout his career, including Shane Walsh in The Walking Dead. Next, he will reprise his role as Frank Castle/Punisher in the Marvel Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again, which premieres March 4 on Disney+
Daredevil: Born Again will see Charlie Cox reprise his role as the titular character which he portrayed in the Marvel Netflix series Daredevil. Dario Scardapane will serve as showrunner with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead directing. The new series is said to have a lighter feel than the Netflix series.

This week, The Hollywood Reporter reports that Bernthal will reprise his Punisher role, yet again, in a standalone special for Marvel Disney+. Another exciting bonus, Bernthal will also co-write the series with Reinaldo Marcus Green, who will also direct. The standalone series will air alongside the second season of Born Again, with both releasing in 2026.
Bernthal portrayed Punisher, the grieving father turned vigilante, in the Charlie Cox-led series and the Punisher series, which aired from 2017-2019. Both series were Netflix originals that received positive reviews. In 2022, the companion series to Daredevil were moved to Disney+. This list included Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, and The Punisher.
Daredevil: Born Again cast

Daredevil: Born Again will see Cox and Bernthal joined by a few other familiar faces from the original series. Vincent D'Onofrio returns as Wilson Fish/Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and Will Bethel as Poindexter.
Newcomers that will appeared in Born Again, include Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Jeremy Earl and and Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna-Fisk, taking over the role originally played by Sandrine Holt.`

What does Jon Bernthal star in?

Some of Bernthal's recent roles include his Emmy-winning performance as Michael Berzatto in The Bear. He also starred in Ava DuVernay's Origin and took up the role of Julian Kaye in the American Gigilo series, a role previously played by Richard Gere in the same-titled movie.
