Lennie James has taken over the post-apocalyptic world as Morgan Jones, an unpredictable survivor who can either treasure life to the point of becoming a full-on pacifist or kill everyone who dares cross his path. There's no in-between with Morgan, and you never know which version of the character you're going to get. However, James has been making waves recently for his performance in a world that couldn't be any more different from that of The Walking Dead.
007 First Light is an action-adventure video game developed by IO Interactive—the mastermind behind the highly acclaimed Hitman series. The studio's recent title follows James Bond as he uncovers a big conspiracy in the 00 program with the help of John Greenway, a bitter man who has lost everything in the service of his country. Greenway is brilliantly brought to life by Lennie James, with a performance that is a definite standout of the game as a whole.
007 First Light brings together great performances with explosive action set pieces and a gripping storyline that starts strong and never lets go. The result is an acclaimed video game that has already surpassed a major milestone.

007 First Light sold 3 million copies within two weeks of its release
To say IO Interactive found success with its latest title would be an understatement. 007 First Light sold 1.5 million copies in its first 24 hours alone, becoming the fastest-selling title of its developer, which stated this is one of the most successful releases of the year as a whole:
"The milestone of 1.5 million units sold in 24 hours reflects overwhelming global enthusiasm for 007 First Light and represents a significant achievement for IO Interactive. With an 88 OpenCritic rating and 87 Metacritic score, 007 First Light has been embraced by both critics and players alike, already establishing itself as one of 2026's most successful gaming releases."
As if that wasn't enough, 007 First Light sold 3 million copies within two weeks of its release, surpassing the company's initial expectations. IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak stated that he's "very confident" the title will be profitable. It's important to remember that this major milestone was achieved without the game releasing on Nintendo Switch 2 consoles (but it is still coming to the platform later this year).
When 007 First Light hit 2.2 million copies sold, it had already generated $150 million in revenue. 55.1% of its sales were on PlayStation 5 consoles, 33.1% were on PC via Steam, and 11.8% came from the Xbox ecosystem.
The story of James Bond is far from over. An upcoming DLC centered on Lenny Kravitz's Bawama will come as part of the game's year-one additional content. Furthermore, new challenges and gadgets will be added, as well as New Game+ and a photo mode. As if that wasn't enough, there have also been discussions about a sequel, but nothing is set in stone just yet.
The future is looking bright for the James Bond video game franchise, and we can't wait to see where the story leads next.
007 First Light is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
