The Walking Dead may have ended its epic run on AMC several years ago, but for die-hard fans, the story didn’t stop there. Over the years, audiences have been eagerly following the cast’s every move. We're talking from their standout performances in new shows and films to surprising cameos and unexpected career turns.
Each new project has been a chance to see the actors we’ve loved bring the same intensity and magnetism to entirely different roles. And now, just when fans thought they had caught up, one of the series’ biggest stars is making a bold leap to a hit CBS drama for its fourth season.
Josh McDermitt joins cast of Fire Country season 4 in recurring role

We're not joking around! According to Deadline, Josh McDermitt has joined the cast of Fire Country season 4, which is currently airing on CBS. He joins fellow recently announced recurring cast members Alona Tal (Cross, SEAL Team) and Conor Sherry (Happy Gilmore 2). In addition, McDermitt is best known for his previous portrayal of Eugene Porter on The Walking Dead.
For Fire Country season 4, he portrays the role of Landon. On the outside, Landon seems quiet, meek, and unassuming. But internally, he is upset about his family’s recent struggles. He is in a relationship with Tal's Chloe character and is a father figure to her son, Tyler, played by Sherry.
They recently lost their home in the wildfires, and Tyler has run away. Deadline also reports that there’s potential for a love triangle, because Chloe will reconnect with Bode (Max Thieriot) as Tyler crosses paths with him. Bode is Chloe's former peer mentee and her secret crush in high school. This is sure to add plenty of tension and drama to the season!
But when exactly will we see McDermitt on screen? Well, he will make his debut on Fire Country season 4 this Friday, Dec. 5. It's the seventh episode of the season titled "Best Mom in the World." Also set to make their debut this episode is Sherry. However, Tal won’t appear in the series until next week's episode.
McDermitt might be known for his iconic role in The Walking Dead, but he most recently starred in the short-lived legal drama Suits LA as Stuart Lane. He also had a small role in an episode of The Righteous Gemstones season 4. Another one of his recent projects was the thriller flick Killing Faith, where he played the role of Stanton. However, it's unknown what he'll star in next after Fire Country season 4.
