Fans of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon have plenty to look forward to. With the highly anticipated third season premiering on AMC next month, we’ve just received even more thrilling news that’s sure to excite the fandom. The hit post-apocalyptic horror series is going to be at NYCC 2025!
Now, if you're a big-time Daryl Dixon fan, this might not come as a surprise to you. The series first appeared at NYCC in 2023, with AMC hosting a panel that included Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), showrunner David Zabel, and executive producer Greg Nicotero. Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead universe Scott M. Gimple was in attendance as well.
Then, in 2024, the show returned with an even bigger presence at NYCC, hosting a panel for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol. The panel featured Reedus, Gimple, Zabel, Nicotero, Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier), and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi. Given the series’ consistent presence at the convention since its debut, fans anticipated a return for NYCC 2025. Now we have that confirmation!
On the NYCC site, it lists that there will be a panel event on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. at Javits-Hall 1D: Main Stage. The panel will feature the cast and executive producers of Daryl Dixon, who will discuss the final two episodes of season 3 as well as share exclusive new footage from the show that fans haven’t seen yet.
While the site doesn't mention which cast and crew members will be in attendance, we can probably expect key stars like Reedus and McBride to join the discussion. Gimple, Zabel, and Nicotero will probably be there as well. It would only make sense given that they attended previous conventions.
Daryl Dixon season 3 premieres on Sunday, Sept 7, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on AMC and AMC+. There are seven episodes in total in the new installment, which is one more episode than the previous two seasons. When we return to the post-apocalyptic world, we find Daryl and Carol continuing their perilous journey back home. Along the way, their journey takes unexpected detours, leading them through unfamiliar lands and exposing them to the far-reaching consequences of the Walker apocalypse.
Reedus and McBride return in their respective roles as Daryl and Carol. The rest of the season 3 cast is made up of Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, Alexandra Masangkay, Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbués, Greta Fernández, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usín, Stephen Merchant, and many others. In addition, a fourth and final season is already confirmed.
