By Renee Hansen
Shudder has announced it's Halfway to Halloween lineup and horror fans are in for a treat. You likely have at least one friend who posts "Halloween all year" memes on social media (I'm that friend), and Shudder always helps those obsessed with Halloween and horror a real treat during the month of April. This month marks the halfway point to the yearly celebration in October.
"Spring is in the scare. Prepare for new spooks, jump scares, and lots of sleepless nights on Shudder, the original home of #HalfwaytoHalloween. "
- Shudder
This year Shudder includes several originals including:
Baghead released on April 5 which is a Shudder exclusive that follows a girl, who upon her fathers death, inherites a run-down centries old pub in Berlin. When the deed is signed she becomes attached to an unspeakable entity, Baghead.
Baghead stars The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon actor Ned Dennehy.
The Shudder original film, Late Night with the Devil releases on April 19. The story follows Jack Delroy’s syndicated talk show Night Owls, whose ratings have lagged. On Halloween night 1977, Jack hosts a guest unlike any he has featured before who unleashes evil into the homes of viewers.
Infested is another Shudder original, and it will be released on April 26. A live watch party will be held on April 27 at p.m. ET. Kaleb, just about to turn thirty, has found himself in a very lonely position. He is estranged from his sister over an inheritance dispute and cuts ties with his best friend. Always facinated with exotic animals, he can't pass up the chance to bring home a venemous spider. The spider escapes and reproduces rapidly, creating a dreadful web trap.
