Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol season 2 premiere BTS photo gallery

AMC kicked off the second season of The Walking Dead spinoff, Daryl Dixon - The Book of Carol with a Carol (Melissa McBride) heavy episode that saw her in the midst of her quest to find her best friend Daryl (Norman Reedus), who she discovered as missing. Below are some excellent images behind-the scenes of the filming of the first episode "Le Gentillesse Des Étrangers" (English translation: the kindess of strangers).
The first episode opens as the story follows Carol in Maine, Daryl's last known location. She found his bike in the possession of another and backtracks to the work camp where Daryl worked and then was thrown onto the ship bound for France. She efficiently handles those men and discovers the worse, Daryl is in France.
The image below has a cool retro vibe with the drive-in marquee and apocalptic with the corpse. Another interesting thing is that this scene was set in the US but the entire series is filmed in France. This image showcases the detail that was up into creating an American vibe in another country.
Below the group that accompanies Daryl to rescue members of The Union of Hope from Genet (Anne Charrier). Mathis (Theo Costa-Marini) is a scout for the Union of Hope and in this scene he leads the way.
Fans of The Walking Dead can never have enough BTS walker shots. It is such an intriguing process to see who created the Walkers and SFX.
Below Anne Charrier, as Genet, leader of the Pouvior, sets up a scene to make her escape from Daryl's interception of her convoy.

Synopsis:

Events of episode one concluded with Ash (Manish Payal) and Carol taking off for France in his plane. This will make for a very interesting story as it seems an impossible task. Fans are eager to see the reunion between Daryl and Carol.
