Fear the Walking Dead's Garret Dillahunt in the new series Hysteria! a Peacock original
By Renee Hansen
Fear the Walking Dead's Garett Dillahunt will star in a new throwback thriller, Hysteria!, which also stars Evil Dead's Ash Williams, Bruce Campbell. The eight-part first season will debut on Peacock beginning October 18, and you won't want to miss this one!
Created by Matthew Scott Kane (Stitchers), Hysteria!, who serves as a writer with David A. Goodman (The Orville). Both executive produce with John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Dungeons & Dragons, Game Night), Chris Bender, and Jake Weiner for Good Fear Content (My Spy, Mulan, Under the Silver Lake).
Directors for the series include Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer, Kong: Skull Island) Wendey Stanzler, Alonso Alvaraez, Shana Stein, and more TBA.
It is set in the small town of Happy Hallow during the 1980s Satanic Panic era. For those who don't know, this was a period when all 80s kid's parents thought they were worshiping Satan. The story begins with the disappearance of the adored varsity quarterback during this era. This gives one heavy metal garage band an idea, capitalize on the panic, and become a Satanic metal band. This is well and good until a string of bizarre murders are committed, leading the witch hunt right back to them.
