Great movies starring Walking Dead and Dead City actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Actor and entrepreneur Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a busy man in his career and family life. He will be filming the second season of The Walking Dead spinoff, Dead City, after recently filming for his role in The Boys. With his wife, Hilarie Burton Morgan, they are raising two children, operating multiple businesses, and taking care of their farm, Mischief Farm, in upstate New York.
Morgan has starred in several horror, thriller, and crime-themed movies. Below we highlight some of the best.
The Unholy (2021) is a supernatural horror, the directorial debut of Even Spiliotopouls, about a young deaf girl whose hearing and speech are restored after a visit from the Virgin Mary. Morgan portrays Gerald "Gerry" Fenn, a disgraced journalist who travels to Boston to cover the story.
The Possession (2012) is another supernatural horror from Danish director Ole Bornedal, with Sam Raimi serving as a producer. The movie tells of a girl, Hannah (Madison Davenport), who is cursed by an item she finds at a yard sale. Morgan portrays her father, Clyde, and Kyra Sedgwick is his wife and mother of Hannah.
The Resident (2011), while not quite horror, this film from Finnish director Antti Jokinen, stars Hilarie Swank as Juliet, an emergency room physician, who, after a divorce, moves into a new apartment she rents from Max (Morgan). She begins to suspect that someone is stalking her and discovers her new landlord has an unhealthy obsession with her.
The Postcard Killings (2020) comes from Danis Tanović, who is considered one of the best Bosnian directors. This is a crime movie based on James Patterson and Liza Marklund's 2010 novel. Morgan plays New York detective Jacob Kanon, who begins an investigation of the murder of his daughter and her new husband while they are on their honeymoon. He soon discovers other murders similar to hers and enlists the help of a journalist, Dessie Lombard (Cush Jumbo), to uncover the truth.
Solace 2015, directed by Brazillian Afonso Poyart, starring Anthony Hopkins, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Abbie Cornish. Dr. John Clancy (Hopkins) has lived in insolation since his daughter's death two years prior. He works as a psychic and is contacted by his friend, Joe Merriweather (Morgan), a special agent of the FBI, to track down serial killer Charles Ambrose (Farrell).
