AMC Networks has made quite the name for itself in the undead genre. Its series, The Walking Dead, has impacted undead culture and set the bar for expectations within the genre. Some of the series have concluded while others continue on; we have the list below.

The Walking Dead - main series - aired 2010-2022

This marked the first series of the franchise, which ran for 11 seasons (117 episodes) and focused on the survivors. The Walking Dead revealed that humans are often worse than anything else, resulting in the phrase, Fight the dead, fear the living.

Fear the Walking Dead - spinoff No. 1 - aired 2015-2023

The first spinoff is set in the same world but tells an independent story from the main series. Fear TWD begins on the west coast and follows the dysfunctional Manewa/Clark family. The series moved from coast to coast during its run of eight seasons (113 episodes) and was the first to feature crossover characters.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond - spinoff No. 2 - aired 2020-2021

The limited coming-of-age series, World Beyond gave insight into the Civic Republic Military (CRM) that will tie to the upcoming series, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. This series featured young adults who only remember events after the outbreak and who lived behind protective walls for their whole lives. When they venture into the world, they quickly discover things aren't what they thought.

Tales of the Walking Dead - spinoff No. 3 - aired one season in 2022

Tales of TWD is an anthology series featuring six standalone stories set in the world of TWD. The stories are located in different parts of the United States and feature all new characters, except "Dee," the origin story of Samantha Morton's Alpha. It is a highly entertaining series that gives insight into how other areas of the country handled the outbreak.

What Walking Dead series are still airing?

The Walking Dead: Dead City - spinoff No. 4 - airing 2023 - present

Dead City is the Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) -centric series set in Manhattan. Maggie's son Hershel (Logan Kim) is abducted by a member of Negan's Saviors. This requires Maggie to partner with her long-time enemy to ensure her son's survival. The series has been renewed for a second season that is expected to begin filming in early 2024.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - spinoff No. 5 - airing 2023 - present

The Daryl Dixon spinoff took Daryl on a high-seas adventure to France, where he encountered a group in need of his help. Despite his gruff exterior, Daryl is a sucker for those in need and lays aside his plans of returning home to aid them. The series has been renewed and will see Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) join the storyline. Daryl Dixon season 2 will premiere in 2024.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live - spinoff No. 6 - airing 2024

The Rick and Michonne spinoff, The Ones Who Live, will premiere on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, 2024. This will continue the epic love story of viewers' favorite apocalyptic couple. There has been no official announcement regarding whether this is a limited series or not.
