The Greenville Journal reports that actor Norman Reedus and Walking Dead SFX master and director Greg Nicotero are ready to open their fifth Nic & Norman's location. The newest addition to their restaurant empire will take residence in the building that previously housed Smoke on the Water in Greenville.

The new location will follow the tradition of the current restaurants located in Senoia, Georgia; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Lexington & Louisville, Kentucky. Each location offers delicious southern cuisine with large, cozy booths, a speakeasy-type atmosphere, and photography by Reedus featured on the walls. If you have never tried the restaurant, make a point to do so; you won't be disappointed.

The first restuarant was established in Senoia, where the community of Alexandria was established for the series and many other scenes have been filmed in an around Senoia. What initially began as a hang-out for the crew & actors has turned into a multi-location destination for fans of The Walking Dead.

Nic & Normans will take over the location at 1 Augusta St. in April, with a targeted opening date of June or July 2024. The location will need a bit of work before opening. The Senior vice president of operations told the Greenville Journal the plan is to move the bar and entrance to the front, which allows patrons to experience the Nic & Norman's feel while dining will be located towards the back.

Reedus has portrayed fan-favorite Daryl Dixon since the series began, and Nicotero has been with the universe since before the series was green-lit. They have both continued working in TWDU in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon series that will premiere its second season in 2024, with Nictotero directing the first episode of the upcoming season, which has been subtitled The Book of Carol.
