Actress Pollyanna McIntosh is well known within The Walking Dead universe for her role as Jadis/Anne. This character has already starred in two of TWDU series and will be featured in a third in 2024. Jadis returns in the new spinoff, affectionately referred to as the Rick and Michonne series.

In February 2024, Jadis will appear in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live spinoff, which will continue the epic love story of Rick and Michonne. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, McIntosh addresses the question of similarities and differences to the main series.

"The setting and the locations are very different. The spirit is all there. I'd say it's a lot of action, it's a lot of pathos, and it's a whole lot of love. Look at that! That's a greeting card! But that's what it is. And, to me, it's very much in the spirit of the original. It's just that we've never seen Rick in this situation before."

Jadis is the former leader of a group called the Scavengers who lived in a landfill and developed their own language of broken English. She believed this helped them bond as a group and separate from other survivors. The group would be killed by Simon (Steven Ogg), a member of the Saviors. Jadis would take back her old name, Anne, join Rick Grimes' (Andrew Lincoln) group, and begin a relationship with Father Gabriel Stokes (Seth Gilliam).

She eventually admits to Gabriel that she has been trading people to the CRM (Civic Republic Military) for supplies. When he threatens to tell Rick, she knocks him out, leaving a note that reads, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. I want to go fast."

This leads to Anne finding Rick along the river bank, after the bridge explosion in which his family and friends think he perished. She tells the CRM helicopter waiting for her she has a person to trade and flies away with Rick, where she uses him as her ticket of entry into the community.

Jadis Stokes - The Walking Dead: World Beyond

The next time Jadis is seen is in the second spinoff, Would Beyond. This series is a coming-of-age story that reveals much more information about the CRM. Jadis, who climbed the organization's ranks, is now known as Warrant Officer Jadis Stokes, interestingly taking Gabriel's last name.
This series will also hear her confirm that she did trade Rick to the organization.

McIntosh knew long before leaving the main series that Jadis' story would continue. She also mentions that the Jadis in the new series will be similar to what viewers saw in World Beyond. She is still a Warrant Officer and commited follower of the CRM.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live premieres on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, 2024.
