Fans of Prison Break, the wait is over! The Prison Breaking with Sarah & Paul podcast hosted by series stars Sarah Wayne Callies and Paul Adelstein released the first two episodes on January 31.
Callies and Adelstein rewatch episodes of Prison Break, break down the story, and look behind the scenes. Guests will include many involved in the series, including writers, directors, cast, and crew.
There was some confusion on how the episodes will be released and if there is a subscribption fee. After watching the videos on Instagram, here is what we found. The regular episodes are free, but only the first two "Watch Party" episodes are free; after that, those episodes will be available with the subscription via Patreon. The Watch Party features Callies and Adelstein as they rewatch the episode and discuss it.
Prison Break aired on Fox for five seasons between 2005 and 2017 and was created by Paul Scheuring. The series is quite successful and responsible for many tie-ins, including a video game, the spin-off series Prison Break: Proof of Innocence for mobile phones, online webisodes, an official magazine, and a novel.
In 2023, Deadline reported that Hulu is working on a reboot of the series. This new series will be written and executive produced by Mayans M.C. boss Elgin James. This story will not follow characters from the original series but will be set in the same world. Original series creator Paul Scheuring will executive produce with Dawn Olmstead, Marty Adelstein, and Neal Moritz.
