Actress Poppy Liu is known within The Walking Dead universe for her portrayal of Amy in Tales of the Walking Dead's fourth episode, "Amy / Dr. Everett." She starred alongside Anthony Edwards in an episode that was set 30 years after the outbreak. Liu, well known for many roles including Hacks, Dead Ringers, The Afterparty, and more, has been announced for Netflix's dark comedy No Good Deed.
As reported by Variety in December 2023, Liu joins the previously announced Ray Romano and newly announced Linda Cardellini, Luke Wilson, Teyonah Parris, and Abbi Jacobson. Lisa Kudrow, Denis Leary, and O-T Fagbenie have also been cast. The series was created by Liz Feldman, known for Dead to Me, which stars Cardellini.
The story follows three families who are trying to purchase the same house, a 1920s Spanish-style home. The long line teases, "But as the sellers have already discovered, sometimes the home of your dreams can be a total nightmare,”
Romano's character, Paul, is a contractor desperate to pay off his debts, retire, and move away from Los Angeles. His solution is to sell his beautiful Los Feliz home, but his past mistakes come back around, making his plan difficult.
