Actor Jon Bernthal is well known for many notable roles during his career. He got his first real break by starring in seasons 1 and 2 of AMC's The Walking Dead as Shane Walsh. Since that time, he has appeared in many movies and shows and made a name for himself within the MCU as Frank Castle/Punisher, which he will reprise in the Disney+ miniseries Daredevil: Born Again. In June, fans will see him reprise another role as Mickey Berzatto in the FX series The Bear.

Created for FX on Hulu by Christopher Storer, The Bear is a comedy/drama starring Jeremy Allen White as award-winning chef Carmy Berztto, who returns to Chicago to run his deceased brother's sandwich shop. The series will premiere its third season on Hulu on June 27.

For its first and second seasons, the series has received critical acclaim, which praises the writing, acting, and directing as well as the subject matter. The series has earned 10 Primetime Emmy Awards and four Golden Globes, including Best Television Series—Musical or Comedy in 2024. The series has been renewed for a fourth season, which is reported to have been filmed back-to-back with the third.

Carmy's return to his hometown of Chicago requires him to leave behind the prestige of working in Michelin rated restaurants to manage the rundown sandwich shop left behind by his brother. There, he must maintain the business, deal with the unruly staff and his brother's debts, and handle his own personal trauma.

The additional cast includes Ebon Moss-Bachrach , Ayo Edebiri , Lionel Boyce , Liza Colón-Zayas , Abby Elliott , and Matty Matheson. Bernthal portrays Carmy's brother Mikey, who commits suicide prior to the series' events. His role is featured via flashbacks.

The official trailer for season 3 features a quick glimpse of Bernthal at the beginning. Don't miss The Bear season 3 on Hulu beginning June 27 which consists of 10 episodes, released simultaneously.

Bernthal will star in Daredevil: Born Again, a series that is part of Phase Five of the MCU, that will be released on Disney+ in 2025 in two 9-episode parts. He will also star in the second Accountant movie with Ben Affleck, where he reprises his role as Brax Wolff.
