The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live song Sky Turns Red by Grabbitz
By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live was going to be epic enough, starring Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Pollyanna McIntosh, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Terry O'Quinn, and Matthew Jeffers. Another element that makes or breaks a series is the music. But Grabbitz understood the assignment, and the result is "Sky Turns Red."
The musician known as Grabbitz is an American electronic music producer, musician, composer, and DJ who first gained the attention of fans of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) with the song "Here with You Now," which was released in 2014. During his career, he has released three studio albums and two EPs and worked with a variety of artists, including Savoy, Sullivan King, and Pegboard Nerds.
Grabbitz has posted on social media that "Sky Turns Red" contains only four lines, consisting of 22 words, yet packs a punch. This is exactly what this song does. Watch the video below, which features Grabbitz's hauntingly beautiful vocals and so many flashbacks from The Walking Dead that you will likely be brought to tears.
[Chorus]
I've seen the sky turn red
The world must have bled
Fields of ashes in my head
I'd burn it all again
I'd burn it all again
[Drop]
[Chorus]
I've seen the sky turn red
The world must have bled
Fields of ashes in my head
I'd burn it all again
I'd burn it all again
(I've seen the sky turn red)
(The world must have bled)
(Fields of ashes in my head)
(I'd burn it all again)
[Outro]
Burn it all again
This is a video he posted on Instagram that is really cool. The caption reads, "I think Rick Grimes would be proud," and we agree.
I found this gem while sifting through his YouTube channel.
