The Walking Dead character Michonne was first introduced to the series in a brief scene during the season 2 finale. She comes on the scene looking as if she walked from the comic pages as she saved Andrea (Laurie Holden). Beginning in season 3, Michonne would be portrayed by Danai Gurira, who will reprise her role in 2024. Which episode marked Michonne's last?

Michonne and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) would finally become a couple in season six, which also meant she became the mother of his children Carl and Judith. Soon after the death of Carl (Chandler Riggs) Michonne would lose Rick in what she thought was his death. This was a lot for her to shoulder, but being the warrior she is, she pressed on, continuing to be a mother to Judith (Cailey Fleming) and giving birth to Rick's son R. J. (Antony Azur).

In season 10, Michonne discovers that Rick survived the bridge explosion by finding his possessions on a boat that washed ashore on Bloodworth Island. This led to a very serious conversation with Judith, who urged her mother to search for her father. At first, Michonne says no, to which Judith says that Rick could be trying to make his way back and may need her help. She then agrees and begins her journey.

At the end of season 10, episode 13, "What We Become," Michonne finds two walkers and turns them into her pets, as she had previously done. As she walks along, she encounters two survivors, Aiden (Breeda Wool) and Bailey (Andrew Bachelor), who need assistance. They plead with her to help them as "they" won't wait for them. When she asks who "they" are, the pair point to the valley below, where a huge number of survivors are moving away. Remembering how Rick helped her when they first met, she cuts off the heads of her pets and helps them return to their group.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live

This group will play a role in The Ones Who Live spinoff. Wool and Bachelor are in the teaser trailer (below at about :20) for the upcoming series. This group has always been a source of conversation because it was never revealed who they are. The new series will at least give some answers since Aiden and Bailey will appear.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live premieres on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, 2024.
