Walking Dead actor J. D. Evermore stars in new movie, Breakwater

J.D. Evermore portrayed a Claimer named Harley during season 4 of The Walking Dead. He is well known for his roles in Rectify and Cloak & Dagger and most recently stars in the movie Breakwater.
The crime thriller Breakwater is written and directed by James Rowe and produced by Matt Paul, Dana Lustig, Larry Hummel, and Ed Winters, with Jay Paul as Executive Producer. Filmed in North Carolina, Breakwater is an independent film that premiered at the Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival in August 2023 and was shown at the Boston Film Festival in September. In October, Deadline reported that Vertical Entertainment acquired the North American distribution rights.
The movie tells of Dovey (Darren Mann), a young ex-con who risks everything for a fellow inmate, Ray Childress (Dermot Mulroney), who mentored him. Ray asks him to find his estranged daughter, which requires him to break parol and cross state lines. He will soon discover her past could be more dangerous than anything he has faced.
The movie, which premiered in theaters and on-demand in December 2023, also stars Mena Suvari, Alyssa Goss, Sonja Sohn, Celia Rose Gooding, and Evermore, portraying a character named Luther, aka Pops.

What else does J.D. Evermore star in?
Evermore has been acting since 1996 and has over 100 roles to his name. In addition to The Walking Dead, Rectify, and Cloak & Dagger, he has also had roles in Django Unchained, 12 Years a Slave, and Five Days at Memorial.
He has also been cast in the reimagining of the 1978 cult classic Faces of Death. The new film began filming in April 2023. The Hollywood Reporter was the first to publish that Barbie Ferreira (Euphoria), Dacre Montgomery (Stranger Things), and singer-songwriter Charli XCX had also been cast in the film.
