Walking Dead actress Merritt Wever stars in new movie, Memory
The Walking Dead series featured numerous notable actors throughout its 12-year run, including Merritt Weaver, who played Denise in season 6.

During the sixth season of The Walking Dead, Merritt Wever would join the cast as Denise, a resident of Alexandria. Wever is well known for many of her roles, including Tiny Beautiful Things, Unbelievable, Run, and Signs. She also stars in the new drama Memory with Jessica Chastain and Peter Sarsgaard.
Memory is directed by Michel Franco, a Mexican director, screenwriter, and producer known for his film After Lucia. Franco's films generally focus on themes featuring dysfunctional families.
Memory was nominated for a Golden Lion, which premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival in September 2023 and was released in limited theaters on December 22, expanding to additional theaters on January 5, 2024. Scarsgaard was awarded the Volpi Cup for Best Actor for his role at the film festival.
The movie has been met with favorable reviews and tells of Sylvia, a single mother and social worker battling issues from her past, and Saul, a man experiencing early-onset dementia. Their complicated lives become intertwined when they attend a high school reunion.
Chastain portrays Sylvia with Scarsgaard as Saul, and they are joined by Merritt Wever, who plays Sylvia's younger sister Olivia with Brooke Timber, Elsie Fisher, Josh Charles, and Jessica Harper.

What else does Merritt Wever star in?
In October 2022, Wever was announced as joining the cast for the second season of the sci-fi psychological thriller Severance, which is expected to be released sometime in 2024. The first season followed Mark (Adam Scott), an employee of a fictional corporation who agrees to participate in a severance program that separates his work memories from his non-work memories. Severance airs on AppleTV+ and received several Primetime Emmy Award nominations, for which it won Main Title Design and Musical Score.
Wever portrayed Zoey Barkow in Nurse Jackie for its entire seven-season run, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie in 2013. She has been praised for her performance in the Netflix original series Unbelievable and was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Miniseries or Television Film in 2020.
She has also guest-starred in numerous series, including New Girl, The Good Wife, Conviction, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, The Wire, and more.
