Walking Dead alums Josh Mikel and Keith Brooks appear in Manhunt series on AppleTV+

It is always exciting to spy Walking Dead actors in new projects. Josh Mikel, who portrayed Jared the Savior, and Keith Brooks, who played the Claimer named Dan in The Walking Dead, are featured in the historical miniseries Manhunt, which premiered on AppleTV+ on March 15.
The new miniseries is based on the book Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer by James L. Swanson. Monica Beletsky, known for her work on Fargo, The Leftovers, and Parenthood, is the creator and showrunner for the seven-part miniseries directed by Carl Franklin, Eva Sørhaug, and John Dahl.
The series focuses on Edwin Stanton's high-stakes manhunt to track down President Abraham Lincoln's assassin, John Wilkes Booth. Stanton was Lincoln's friend and Secretary of War and sought to preserve Lincoln's ideals, the foundation of his Reconstruction Plans.
Manhunt premiered on AppleTV+ on March 15, with new episodes airing weekly through April 19, the season finale. So far, it has received favorable reviews, with the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes giving it an 83%. "Dramatizing a flashpoint in American history with hot-blooded performances and contemporary resonance, Manhunt transcends the trappings of wax museum recreation to deliver addicting entertainment."

Mikel portrays John Surrat Jr. in episodes 1-3 and Brooks as River Ghost in episodes 3 and 4.

Both actors shared about their roles on social media. Mikel's caption describes his character as "I play conspirator & true son of a bish John Surratt Jr., whose escapades & escapes could have filled a show in themselves."
Recently, Mickel has had roles in Baby Bird, They Cloned Tyrone, FBI: Most Wanted, Mayfair Witches, and Robert Kirkman's Renfield, in which Brook also had a role. Brooks' recent roles include The Unbreakable Bunch, Spookt, Strays, The Big Door Prize, and Florida Man.
