Actor Jason Butler Harner joined The Walking Dead series during its eleventh and final season. He portrayed Toby Carlson, a member of the Commonwealth who served the community as a recruiter. Butler will appear in a new series, Sugar, which airs on AppleTV+ beginning April 5.

Sugar was created by Mark Protosevich, a screenwriter known for The Cell, Thor, and I Am Legend, and directed by City of God co-director Fernando Meirelles. The series also stars Harner in a recurring role with main cast members Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Amy Ryan, Dennis Boutsikaris, Alex Hernandez, and Lindsay Pulsipher.
