Walking Dead's Markice Moore in Point Blank, one of Netflix's most streamed movies
By Renee Hansen
Actor Markice Moore has a long list of credits to his name, including a role from season 3 of The Walking Dead. He portrayed Andrew, one of the prisoners discovered by Rick Grimes' (Andrew Lincoln) group at the West Georgia Correctional Facility. Years after this role, Moore would star in a movie that would make Netflix history, Point Blank.
The film is directed by Joe Lynch, who made his directorial debut with Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007), and was written by Adam G. Simon, known for Man Down. Point Blank was originally released on Netflix in 2019 and is a remake of the same-titled French film from 2010. The original French title is “À bout portant,” and the film is directed by Fred Cavayé, who co-wrote the story with Guillaume Lemans.
The action thriller continues to rank on the streamers worldwide list as one of the most watched movies on Netflix and, during the week of January 23, climbed to No. 6 on the Top 10 Chart. The movie climbed as high as No. 4 in some countries, according to Flixpatrol. The film stars Anthony Mackie and Frank Grillo, both of Captain American fame with Marcia Gay Harden, Teyonah Parris, Boris McGiver, and Markice Moore.
The story tells of an ER nurse (Mackie) and a wounded career criminal (Grillo) who must set their differences aside to take down corrupt cops who threaten both of their families.
Moore recently shared news of the movies "most watched" status on social media, including a video clip of his role as Big D, an influential gangster and aspiring film director.
