Watch Walking Dead universe actors Jon Bernthal and Craig Tate in King Richard now streaming on Netflix

The biographical sports film King Richard is now streaming on Netflix. This film received six Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, winning Best Actor for Will Smith's performance. Two Walking Dead universe actors appear in the film: Jon Bernthal, known for his role as Shane on the main series, and newcomer Craig Tate, who played Okafor in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live spinoff.
The movie, directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, known for directing Monsters and Men and the upcoming Bob Marley: One Love, is based on the life of Richard Williams, father of tennis greats Venus and Serena Williams. The Williams sisters served as executive producers for the film which Zach Baylin wrote the screenplay.
It is an inspirational film about a man determined to make a mark in the world of tennis who raised two of the most remarkable athletes in the sport.
King Richard cast
Bernthal portrays Rick Macci, an American tennis coach who, during his career, coached five number-one players, including the Williams sisters. He also created the International Tennis Academy in 1985. Tate portrays Bells, part of a group of homeboys with Josiah Cross, Calvin Clausell Jr., and Vaughn W. Hebron.

King Richard was considered a box office failure, but critics praised the film. The movie ranks 90% on Rotten Tomatoes, which states: "King Richard transcends sport biopic formulas with refreshingly nuanced storytelling – and a towering performance from Will Smith in the title role."
Next, Bernthal will reprise his rols as Brax Wolff in the second Accountant film, and as Frank Castle aka The Punisher in Daredevil: Born Again.
